Director of Retail Merchandising

A globally respected watch company is seeking a Director of
Retail Merchandising whose primary responsibility will be to
insure all product lines are appropriately presented in
department and specialty stores (700+ doors). The Director of
Retail Merchandising will lead and direct and motivate 4
Regional Merchandise Managers and their teams including a third
party vendor.

This individual reports directly to the Senior Vice President
of Operations. This position will work closely with the Sales
Management, Brand Management and Marketing teams to insure
consistency and alignment of brand message/image and sell-
through to the marketplace.

This individual needs to have strong management experience,
high volume, experience with a 3rd party vendor, a Bachelor's
degree and be open to travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage and develop and motivate 4 direct reports and their
teams as well as others through vendor management

- Effective leadership and training of In-Store Merchandising
Team (Merchandise Coordinators)

- Responsible for all communication from management as it
relates to retail presentation and location in all accounts

- Liaison between Account Sales/Marketing and Retail Managers

- Insure effective business rules and policies are in place for
accurate use of analysis; identification of new/improved
business processes required to meet business growth plans

- Manage department budget; analyze productivity and oversee
staff expenses

- Build and maintain key relationships with store level and
corporate level management to strengthen in store presence

- Provide critical feedback and new ideas to improve procedures
based on competition and needs/requests from accounts

- Develop and implement specific strategies that enable the
sell through staff to meet corporate assigned sales goals
and objectives


SALARY: Up to $65K D.O.E
