Background:

 

Over the years, our client has made many successful acquisitions that were considered to be early victories for digital media, before that term was in vogue. Recently, they were fortunate enough to recruit a seasoned, ex-GE executive as their CEO. He has helped large corporations change directions successfully, has helped start-ups gain market share quickly and was instrumental in taking one of the most recognized brands in global business out of bankruptcy, as well as achieve amazing growth in value for its investors.  Each one of this executive’s “change initiatives” was unique, allowing success to follow.

 

This leadership has made mammoth gains in just a matter months.  It is our belief that our client’s new leadership has what it takes to accelerate their position in what is a competitive marketplace.

 

 

Purpose:

Set the vision, strategy and manage the execution of a high performance recruiting team, including the process and systems from job creation and recruiting through on-boarding.  Also, responsible for recruiting and filling senior level exempt positions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, implement and monitor effective processes and systems for finding, attracting and recruiting candidates/employees.  This includes the entire hiring process conducted by the recruiting teams as well as hiring managers.
  • On an ongoing basis, work with senior leaders to monitor current and future hiring needs and develop plans to meet the needs.  Provide guidance in organizing teams and job responsibilities, especially in the technical areas.
  • Serve as the recruiter on high-demand or leadership roles.
  • Have systems, processes and templates are in place to ensure accurate, current and engaging job descriptions are on file for all corporate positions.
  • Identify new and creative ways for attracting talent, directly and indirectly, to include social networking.
  • Monitor, update and ensure that all pre-employment testing is necessary and effective in helping to identify qualified candidates. 
  • Partner with admin and training team to insure that on-boarding practices are effective to retain new hires. 
  • Identify, develop and implement successful internship programs in appropriate departments, to serve short-term needs, as well as provide a candidate pool for regular, full-time employment.
  • Partner with the sales recruiting teams to ensure systems, contracts and processes are consistent/complimentary.
  • Ensure all who are part of the recruiting process, including hiring managers, are aware of and trained on legal and appropriate hiring practices.
  • Work with recruiting team members to set their personal objectives to execute on the recruiting strategy, to include expectations that are SMART; specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound.
  • Hold self and team members accountable to the objectives. Provide coaching and training opportunities for self and team to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and manage department budget and contracts related to recruiting processes, systems and agencies.

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management or related job experience.
  • Five+ years experience and proven track record in recruiting technical/in demand jobs, including three years managing same.
  • Experience working with executives and line managers.
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills. Strong business acumen.
  • Experience in meeting/exceeding recruiting objectives. 
  • Experience managing a recruiting budget.
