Director of Human Resources
Position Summary
Directs and coordinates various human resources functions, including analytics, metric and dashboards, compensation, benefits and HRIS. Responsible for providing the necessary planning, development, implementation of human resources programs while aligning human resources strategies with corporate goals as a key member of the HR leadership team. Works closely with the senior HR team to align human resources strategies with corporate goals and objectives. A leader of organizational change as well as the successful implementation of change processes. Partners with internal business leaders and employees to understand core capabilities needed to drive the business and translate those needs into actionable plans and programs within various HR areas. Assures the people systems are aligned to the business needs and provides effective delivery of HR programs and services. Involved in the development of internal Human Capital analytics and benchmark reporting, internal people strategy and consulting, and may be required to develop high impact presentations and tools to communicate within the organization.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 8 to 10 years progressive HR management experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred. Qualified candidates will have proven experience in assessing and implementing HR systems and processes, strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills – the ability to “get behind the numbers” and evaluate programs and develop appropriate economic analysis and metrics including analytics, metrics and dashboards. Experience with executive compensation, incentives, stock options and shares. Strong HRIS, compensation, benefits, performance management and HR generalist experience. Solid business acumen - ability to understand and support achievement of business strategy and goals is a must. Proven background in relating to people, leading change and producing results is essential. Industry certifications and training highly desired: Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Experience with health and wellness, unions, pension, supporting and reporting to the Board of Directors preferred. Other combinations of education and/or experience may be considered.
