Director of Human Resources




Job Description:

Wireless Generation, a fast-growth, multi-state education software company, has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Human Resources with expertise in the full scope of Human Resources areas. This position is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to a work environment that attracts, retains and grows the brightest talent in the industry. The Director of Human Resources will be a key contributor to the organization’s growth.

Responsibilities of Director of Human Resources:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the organization regarding all Human Resources matters including policy development, performance management, staffing, staff planning and management, retention, career development, employee relations, benefits and compensation.
  • Provide leadership to the Human Resources department by accomplishing the following:
  • Serve as a model of and set a standard for professional competency, accuracy, and innovation
  • Develop and implementing proactive strategies that solve business problems and drive business goals
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace laws
  • Engage in proactive solution gathering and implementation
  • Manage large-scale projects
  • Identify organizational needs and recommend and implement solutions to overcome challenges
  • Remain current with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources; ensure policies, procedures and reporting are compliant

Requirements of Director of Human Resources:

  • Bachelors degree required; Master’s preferred
  • 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with 3-5 years of experience at the Director level; preference will be given to those with experience within a technology or education organization
  • Demonstrated history of accountability for delivering high quality results in multiple HR disciplines; preference will be given to those with demonstrated knowledge of recruiting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws governing HR best practices including OFCCP, Title VII, ADA, FMLA
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems; experience with data conversion a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage organizational change
  • Extensive experience creating, implementing, managing and measuring large scale HR projects and initiatives; excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR metrics and SPHR certification a plus
