The Director of Human Resources will be a key contributor to the organization’s growth.
Responsibilities of Director of Human Resources:
Provide leadership and guidance to the organization regarding all Human Resources matters including policy development, performance management, staffing, staff planning and management, retention, career development, employee relations, benefits and compensation.
Provide leadership to the Human Resources department by accomplishing the following:
Serve as a model of and set a standard for professional competency, accuracy, and innovation
Develop and implementing proactive strategies that solve business problems and drive business goals
Ensure compliance with all workplace laws
Engage in proactive solution gathering and implementation
Manage large-scale projects
Identify organizational needs and recommend and implement solutions to overcome challenges
Remain current with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources; ensure policies, procedures and reporting are compliant
Requirements of Director of Human Resources:
Bachelors degree required; Master’s preferred
7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with 3-5 years of experience at the Director level; preference will be given to those with experience within a technology or education organization
Demonstrated history of accountability for delivering high quality results in multiple HR disciplines; preference will be given to those with demonstrated knowledge of recruiting
Demonstrated knowledge of laws governing HR best practices including OFCCP, Title VII, ADA, FMLA
Knowledge of HRIS systems; experience with data conversion a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage organizational change
Extensive experience creating, implementing, managing and measuring large scale HR projects and initiatives; excellent project management skills
Demonstrated knowledge of HR metrics and SPHR certification a plus
