We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Director of Internal Communications to join our Corporate Communications team in Pasadena, CA. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, this newly created role will be instrumental in the Company's efforts to enhance its global business service delivery. You will lead a team of three and collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and drive a multifaceted internal communications strategy that advances the Company's transformation initiatives. In addition to serving as a member of the Internal Communications Community, this highly visible role will engage directly with Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, New Growth Platforms and Enterprise Lean Sigma leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: . Design and deploy a change communications strategy that supports and engages the Company's global workforce and leads to employee buy-in for changing business processes and ultimately successful implementation of changes. . Simultaneously manage multiple global projects with great degrees of complexity and diverse stakeholder groups. . Inform, engage and inspire employees around the globe in order to help Company meet and/or exceed business objectives. . Create communication plans, identify key messages and produce materials that effectively convey timely and relevant information to diverse audiences globally. . Enhance employee portal presence by driving design improvements, creating compelling content and leading adoption efforts. Maximize the use of internal social networking tools as a means of collaborating globally. . Initiate and lead special projects including the production of multifaceted communications campaigns and events, such a global Town Hall meetings and employee forums. . Partner with Human Resources to develop initiatives to enhance employee retention and attract top talent. . Collaborate as a key member of the corporation's communications community in order to effectively leverage key strategies and initiatives companywide.
Position Requirements: The Director, Internal Communications will have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a communications professional, working across business and geographical boundaries for a publicly traded company. Background/experience in change management is a plus. He/she must be willing to travel (25%). In addition he/she must... . Effectively leverage a superior background in the development and deployment of organizational change communications. . Be results-oriented, ensuring a strong connection between communication actions and organizational objectives. . Demonstrate superb oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with diverse audiences. . Have experience utilizing a broad mix of communication methods (including social media), delivery mechanisms and channels with the ability to build innovative, world class strategies and tactical solutions. . Shine as a strong leader in a large, global, publicly traded corporation, in addition to being a functional expert. . Establish clear priorities quickly and consistently meet deadlines. Effectively manage and deliver on multiple priorities. . Lead and facilitate teams around the world to advance existing and new communication initiatives.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required; Master's degree a plus.
