Director, Human Resources
Organization Description: Located in Los Angeles, California, this non-profit organization is one of the largest employment, career counseling and job services organizations in California. With approximately 200 staff, in 35 locations and a $15 million operating budget, this market-oriented organization is continually evolving and responding to the growing need for employment services by providing resources and programs to a diverse community throughout Southern California. Over the past 80 years, this organization has benefited from consistent, entrepreneurial leadership from a committed Board and visionary CEO. As a growth oriented organization, they continue to recruit people with the skills and abilities that are required to build a strong infrastructure that will support its mission. In this regard, the organization requires and will benefit from an experienced human resource professional who will provide strong direction and leadership to support its prior growth and is capable of working as a partner in implementing an ambitious strategic plan in the months to come. Position Description: The Director, Human Resources (Director) reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Working with the COO and the senior management team, the Director is responsible for all aspects of Workforce Management. This organization is in the final stage of completing a strategic plan and anticipates implementation will begin in the near future. The organization and the transformative period ahead needs a self-motivated, hands-on human resource professional with strong knowledge of human resources management, a pro-active, strategic style and the ability to anticipate and address company wide needs in a timely and resourceful manner. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in human resource development, personnel administration or related field is required. Other qualifications include a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience leading an H.R. team, knowledge of organization change models, a track record in establishing and implementing strategic initiatives and strong skills in coaching, inspiring, motivating and leading all levels of staff. Compensation: The compensation for the position is within an established range, depending upon qualifications and experience.
