As the HR Director this person provides leadership and direction in aligning workforce strategies with organizational goals and strategies to support the recruitment retention and engagement of the workforce. Provides interpretation of and recommendations to management on Human Resources related policies and programs. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. Recommends and implements effective human resources programs practices and processes that are aligned with the mission vision and values of the organization.

· Employee Relations –
- Design and implement policies for employees in conjunction with VCH.
- Participate in internal and external compliance audits with direct partnership with VCH HR and legal/compliance teams.
- Investigate complaints and other internal dispute issues and applies solutions to resolve.
- Records management and compliance.
-Participates in legal proceedings prepares draft responses to complaints and maintains records.
-Accountable to lead and create a work environment that fosters positive employee and labor relations
- Communicate and educate all employees at all levels and serve as an advocate to employees and members of the management team
- Provide consultation and recommendations to leadership in matters of disciplinary action and termination of employees while ensuring compliance with any appropriate employment laws and policies
-Communication – Provide employees and management with information about policies procedures benefits etc.
· Organization Effectiveness –
-Participate in needs analyses for training and other OE programs.
- Assist with analyzing talent to determine succession plans and future development needs. Assist in the facilitation of courses mentoring and coaching acting in partnership with the OE COE and OE business and company protocols.
- Ensure the performance management process is followed and that differentiation in performance occurs.
-Accountable to HR metrics and data analysis to drive business decisions and program design.
- Ensure participation in the Employee Engagement survey happens and that leaders develop action plans for their areas.
- Conduct analysis between business metrics to design action plans to move the ministry forward in engagement productivity and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in developing leaders at all levels.
· Recruiting –
- Provide workforce planning information to the VCH.
- Participate in sourcing activities. Screen interview and assist ministry in candidate selection as appropriate.
- Accountable for the onboard/orientation process for new hires linked to establish the link to business objections service/behavior expectations and our mission and core.
· Compensation –
- Facilitate the updating of job descriptions and simplification of job codes in conjunction with the COE Total Rewards.
- Identify and manage requests for positions which require market data outside of the market analysis plan.
- Provide input deliver and ensure compliance with agreed upon compensation practices to ensure alignment with the Via Christi Health Philosophy.
- Stays abreast of local market conditions that will influence compensation practices.
- Coordinate and support the merit compensation process for the ministry.
- Direct employees to the Employee Service Center based on compensation protocols. Partner with COE on complex compensation issues situations and projects as appropriate.
