Dining Services Coordinator2

The Dining Services Coordinator II is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the dining operations in the community. These responsibilities include but not limited to, procurement, food/dining preparation and service per the Sunrise designated menu program, financial and budgetary management of the food and dining services, labor costs, supervising and training team members on dining services, ensures safe food handling to prevent food borne illness, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, inventory and rotation of products and regulatory compliance.

Position typically works in medium to large sized mansion, or as an entry level manager in a large full service community.
Qualifications:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience supervising dining room operations in a medium, full service, restaurant. Requires ability to recruit, coach, and manage performance for kitchen and staff of 10 (ten) or more team members
  • Experience must include minimum of three (3) years as a Chef / Cook in comparable environment, with the ability to cook three to four days per week. Demonstrated ability to produce food at the volume required.
  • Proficiency in the planning and execution of special resident and TM catered functions is required.
  • High School Diploma required
  • Maintains current Food Services Sanitation certificate and demonstrates knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diet
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications. Demonstrated ability to operate ordering and production system
  • As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and times
