Compensation Analyst
|
General Information
This role acts as a subject matter expert for Compensation and handles process escalations. This role also assists the Process & Delivery Manager in improvements and developments to current processes and identifies areas where process improvements are required (and helps to support and implement appropriate changes). The successful candidate will strive to reach standardization in the processes and business practices of the HRSC.
Core Responsibilities
- Respond to all process escalations by proposing a solution to the issue
- Create/update work instructions with new process improvements and enhancements
- Train personnel when new processes are deployed
- Educate customers regarding processes
- Coordinate the resolution to escalated cases with other parties
- Document all responses in SMT and provide information for FAQ updates
- Prepare communication materials that will be distributed to employees, managers and the HR community
- Perform all other duties, which may include, but are not limited to, ETO, Service & Retirement Awards, Variable Salary and Field Incentive Plan administration, developing job evaluations/recommendations, salary survey participation, ad-hoc reporting, etc.
Requirements:
Required Competencies - Relevant experience working with variable pay programs, including payout determination according to business results/plan metric parameters, maintaining plan documentation, templates, and the ability to implement plan changes according to approved business requirements on a year-to-year basis
- Relevant and demonstrated working knowledge and experience working with job evaluations, market pricing, and salary survey participation in a diversified business environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- May be viewed as the Subject Matter Expert
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with internal and external customers (i.e. other departments and 3rd party vendors)
- A working knowledge of corporate relocation programs, Earned Time Off policies, Retirement and Service Award administration
- Highly advanced and demonstrated ability to effectively use a range of PC and productivity software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP- HR, Client legacy systems and 3rd party systems such as the Service Management Tool (SMT)
- High level of integrity and sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize daily work
Minimum Years of Experience Required
- 4 - 5 years of relevant compensation administration experience required
- At least 2 years of experience in a position where the responsibilities included significant conflict and problem resolution experience as well as the clarification of policies and guidelines, required
- HR Shared Service Center compensation administration/process improvement experience preferred
- A working knowledge of corporate relocation programs, and/or retirement & service award administration is preferred
- The successful completion of compensation administration courses/certifications (CCP, PHR, SPHR), is a definite plus
Minimum Education Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or the equivalent combination of directly related education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
