Community Outreach Program Manager 4 AAAT

The Community Outreach program manager is a member of the Aerospace Academic Alignment Team (AAAT) and is responsible for developing and executing community outreach programs and events targeting Washington State K-12 system, community and technical college system. These programs are designed to enhance awareness, excitement, and involvement in aerospace and manufacturing careers and will target students, parents, teachers, career and guidance counselors, and administrators across Washington State. The Community Outreach program manager ensures alignment to aerospace and manufacturing industry career awareness strategies, K-12 strategies, and community and technical college strategies. The program manager is responsible for developing, managing, monitoring and controlling and implementing outreach program and event project plans, providing regular status reports to leadership, tracking and administering program costs, developing and maintaining the M&Q Community Outreach Calendar, collecting and analyzing program and event metrics, and assessing programs and events to develop improvement plans as needed. The program manager will be responsible for leading outreach team meetings, facilitating development of the community outreach plans, recruiting and managing Boeing volunteers, and developing and managing outreach materials. The program manager works closely with the AAAT strategy leaders to ensure outreach programs and events align to strategies and workforce development priorities. The program manager coordinates with Global Corporate Citizenship, Higher Education and STEM, and Global Staffing as needed.

Collaborates with others on the most complex projects assigned. Ability to direct, delegate and ensure performance of assigned responsibilities and tasks as a project team leader in support of the overall large scale and complex projects. Identifies and resolves any issues and provide solutions and or recommendations to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Office Applications, desktop publishing, database and spreadsheet software. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required. Must have the ability to effectively prepare and present information to various groups. The ability to work independently or with others to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision is essential. Knowledge of event planning to develop and implement projects is critical. Experience facilitating and leading meetings to ensure effective decision-making and program execution is required. Knowledge of K-12 and/or community and technical colleges is a plus. The primary work location is negotiable within Puget Sound, WA. Frequent travel throughout Puget Sound is expected along with light to moderate travel throughout the state of Washington.
