Description : Reporting to the SVP, Strategy & Business Development, this person will be responsible for identifying potential acquisition/joint venture, insurance portfolio or other similar opportunities linked to the Lifestyle Protection strategy and leading the execution of those transactions. The role will support the current businesses of Lifestyle Protection in enhancing their product and distribution capabilities and look for additional business opportunities.
Specifically, this roles responsibilities will include
Building a pipeline of potential opportunities by: . Being responsible for sourcing and building a pipeline of potential acquisition, joint venture and insurance portfolio opportunities linked to Lifestyle Protection strategy . Identifying potential targets, developing value propositions and presenting them both internally for approval and externally to the target management team . Liaising with Genworth business leaders, Corporate M&A, investment banks, insurance brokers and other outside consultants to identify and approach potential targets
Deal lead on any acquisition/joint venture and structured transaction opportunities by: . Project managing and leading all due diligence activities where necessary . Leading negotiations with target companies, their legal advisors and the local regulator . Co-ordinating discussions between Genworth teams and local regulators/ advisors where necessary . Supporting the set up of resources where necessary including recruitment of key personnel
The role will be based in London. Extensive travel is likely across Europe and potentially to other countries outside Europe.
Essential Qualifications: . Significant sales and Business Development experience in the Financial Services industry. . Demonstrated sales excellence . Graduate calibre, ideally with a financial/accounting or actuarial qualification . Analytical and numerate with the ability to make the information accessible to others . Excellent PC skills: Excel, PowerPoint etc. . Customer focused . Demonstrates self drive and initiative . Commercial acumen . High personal integrity and professional behaviour standards .
