3D Game Artist/Generalist




Job Description:

Wireless Generation is developing interactive games for tablets. We are looking for 3D artists familiar with asset creation for tablets and next gen games. The candidate must have experience and samples from at least one finished game or similar production experience.

Responsibilities of the 3D Game Artist/Generalist

  • Able to model and texture detailed objects in Maya
  • Able to produce highly optimized models with best use of texture space
  • Able to create assets from existing concept art
  • Able to create both characters and non-organic, hard surface objects
  • Familiar with light baking and achieving non-traditional looks
  • Familiar with normal map generation, sculpting tools
  • Familiar with building levels in unity
  • All other skills a plus

    Software Requirements for the 3D Game Artist/Generalist:

  • Maya
  • Photoshop
  • Zbrush, or Mud box
  • Other utilities for achieving detailed models and textures.

    Responsibilities of 3D Game Artist/Generalist:

  • 3D modeling of game assets and environments.
  • Design environments, props, and characters for student-facing curricular games.
  • Conceptualize various interactions between learning and playing in the game space of education.
  • Participate in critiques and comments among the team members
  • Iterate on concepts with Art Director to integrate larger framing applications/environments in the curriculum space.
  • Establish and maintain visual style consistency across components of the game/curriculum space

    Personal Sample work required:

    A web portfolio or demo reel showing samples of Low poly, high detail game assets please clearly describe which elements you contributed to directly 3D modeling of game assets and environments. Design environments, props, and characters for student-facing curricular games.
