MANAGER-CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the corporate human resource function to ensure company human resource policies, practices and programs meet the strategic goals and objectives of the organization and comply with regulatory requirements. Manage the human resource function, including organizational planning and development, recruiting, compensation, benefits and services, employee relations, training, and regulatory compliance, for the corporate office locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Research, develop, implement, communicate, and interpret corporate level policies and programs which deliver cost effective Human Resource services to support the company's business objectives, reflect employee needs and values, and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Establish wage and salary structures, pay policies, and performance appraisal programs. Oversee the management and analysis of the salary, compensation, and merit increase systems according to company policies. Recommend and approve pay increases for employees within budgetary limits and pay policies. Oversee the establishment and adherence to procedures to evaluate jobs, prepare formal job descriptions, and conduct wage and salary surveys.
* Analyze company compensation policies, government regulations concerning payment of minimum wages and overtime pay and prevailing rates in similar organizations and industries in order to comply with legal requirements and to establish competitive rates designed to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
* Prepare the annual Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) and Profit Sharing incentive plans and manage the incentive plan process and administration.
* Write and implement annual affirmative action and equal opportunity plan.
* Oversee and evaluate outside service providers or contractors; provide direction in the development of employee services provided; negotiate contract terms and conditions.
* Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning human resource data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism. Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of human resource issues and develop recommendations for the improvement of organizational policies and practices. Maintain records of applicant and employee characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.
* Provide suggestions and resources to department managers in assessing departmental needs and organizational planning and development, evaluating structure, job design, and manpower forecasting. Create and maintain job descriptions on all company positions.
* Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, promotional opportunities and employee benefits.
* Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates following current EEO and ADA hiring guidelines for exempt and non-exempt positions.
* Counsel and guide managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and harassment. Advise and assist managers in handling difficult and sensitive employee relations issues. Review cases of serious violation of company policies governing employee conduct and recommend actions appropriate for conflict resolution, including disciplinary actions, to ensure actions are legal and compliant with company policy.
* Ensure all employment actions are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate responses to complaints or claims filed by employees or former employees with the EEOC, DOL, or other governmental agencies. Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
* Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
* Prepare and present training programs for employees to introduce new company policies, practices, or governmental regulations which affect company operations. Prepare and present training to managers on their responsibilities to follow company policy and to comply with governmental regulations regarding employment practices.
* Prepare departmental budget.
* Manage human resource staff, establish work standards and evaluate staff's performance. Identify, address, and implement timely employee development and training opportunities for staff, including succession planning. Hire, counsel, and discharge human resource staff as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) and/or three to seven years related experience
* Ability to organize and direct oneself and effectively supervise others.
* Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
* Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
* Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

Certificates & Licenses
PHR, SPHR preferred.

Other Requirements
Master's Degree preferred. Prior management experience required.
